My inspiration for this project came from the thought about the child's relationship with their room, more specifically their bed, the struggle that can come with leaving their room and going to the outside world, an experience that sometimes might be overwhelming. I wanted to create a safe place for the child, that they can wear with them and take their comforting bed with them. I used screen printing method for the t-shirt and the pillow bag and added hand embroidery for a personal touch. I used colorful prints and fabrics for the lining of the jacket and poncho blanket, to represent the child's bed that will hug them from the inside.
