During 2024 I was diagnosed with Endometriosis, a chronic gynecological disease, which causes me a lot of pain, frustration and damages my quality of life. Among other things, it affects the way my body looks, and as a result damages my relationship with my body and the clothes I wear.
I decided to name the brand ÁNIMO, a synonym to my name ALMA, which means soul in Spanish.
My RTW collection encourages exploration and adjustment of how the body feels inside a garment. By incorporating elements such as asymmetry, unfinished raw elements, cuts, and transparency, each piece offers endless possibilities for creating versatile looks that transition seamlessly between day and night. Drawing inspiration from the woman's body in its various states, the collection is designed to meet the emotional needs of the wearer at any given moment—whether she seeks comfort or desires to reveal more of herself.
